Postage Stamp – 1 150 Avro Lancaster RAF NX-611 Just Jane

Postage Stamp plane models (formerly known as Model Power models) has a long history of producing affordable, ready made diecast airplanes in the 5 to 8 range. Produced at the end of World War II for service in the Far East, NX611 “Just Jane” was a variant of the famous Mk VII Avro Lancaster strategic heavy bomber, best known for its role in the 1943 “dam buster” air raids on Germany’s Ruhr Valley. The war ended before the NK611 was deployed as intended, and it was sold to the French navy, working all over the world for over two more decades. The name “Just Jane” comes from a popular wartime cartoon character in the UK’s Daily Mirror.
